City of Biloxi Mayor, A.J. Holloway has approved the landmark Biloxi Lighthouse restoration project. Although the 161 year old structure survived Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, significant damage was done to the exterior and interior. Sand blasting and corrosion control is the first order of business, followed by electrical, brickwork and painting. The project is expected to be completed by year end.
